As a single parent of two children, one with special needs, and also the daughter of a mother with dementia, there are a lot of scary questions out there. How can I balance the needs of my mother with those of my kids and myself? What will my daughter’s future look like? What will my future look like? Will there be enough money after I’m gone to take care of her? Will I ever be able to date again and who’s going to want to join me on this roller coaster ride?

The role of a caregiver can be extremely isolating, and in our current world of social distancing and minimal in person contact, now more than ever being able to find others with shared experiences is so important for our own well-being.

What I’m hoping to accomplish with this website is a safe space for caregivers to connect, find information and resources for either themselves or those special people in their lives and maybe find a few minutes to catch their breath and feel less alone on their journey.
